What is a muffler tip? Why buy a muffler tip?

Muffler tips are a universal fit and can be clamped to any exhaust system up to a certain inlet diameter, usually 2.5"-3.5". Muffler tips provide added style to your car's tailpipe, and they come in a wide variety of finishes and shapes.

Installing muffler tips will dress up the rear end, and can help protect your paint and bumpers by expelling spent gasses further away from your bumper. There are many different types and styles of muffler tips available, including round, oval, rectangular, slanted, dual, turndown, chrome, stainless, titanium color, and carbon fiber, so finding one to perfectly match your ride shouldn't prove to be too difficult. A new muffler tip is a great way to improve the looks of your exhaust without having to change out the whole exhaust system.

Did You Know?:

Some aftermarket muffler tips are resonated, meaning that they are like a mini-muffler. They can alter the sound and volume of your exhaust, but the change is usually very subtle. Many muffler tips are made to be bolted on, meaning that you simply attach them to your existing exhaust piping using the provided hardware, while others must be welded on. Bolt-on muffler tips are great for the do-it-yourselfer, but for a more permanent installation we recommend having your muffler tip(s) welded on. In fact, most bolt-on tips can also be welded on if you so desire.
