Steering Bushings

What are steering bushings? Why buy steering bushings?

Steering rack bushings hold the steering rack in place and absorb some of the road vibration. Stock factory rubber bushings tend to decay and fall apart given their usually hot and oily environment. The solution is a set of polyurethane rack bushings, which will stabilize the steering rack much better than stock.

How do you install steering bushings?

Steering rack bushings are installed by removing your factory bushings and replacing them with the aftermarket polyurethane ones.

Why To Buy?:

When you turn the steering wheel on your car, there are numerous components that have to work properly for your vehicle to turn in response. One of these critical components is steering bushings. Your steering bushings play the important role of keeping your steering rack in place, while also absorbing shocks and vibrations that would otherwise be transmitted to the steering wheel. OEM bushings are made of rubber that stretches and fatigues over time and can lead to serious problems with the steering system. Here at Andy's Auto Sport we have a full selection of replacement steering bushings to restore your vehicle's performance and keep you driving safely down the road.

Did You Know?:

While rubber is good at absorbing shock and vibration, its Achilles heal is that it degrades with time and chemical exposure which leads to complete bushing failure. Many of the top aftermarket companies have developed urethane steering bushings that boast superior performance and durability. Thanks to the advanced chemical formulation, urethane is stronger, maintains its shape better, and will outlast rubber every time. If you need to change your steering bushings, we highly recommend upgrading to urethane.
