Accel BILLETECH™ DISTRIBUTORS - Accel BilleTech™ late model replacement distributors are the perfect replacement for the factory distributor in your late model car or truck. All BilleTech™ distributors feature:
• 6061 T6 Billet aluminum housing
• Centerless ground steel shaft
• 10,000 RPM bearing upper with oil lite bushing lower
• Accel performance electronic pick up and module (where noted)
• High dielectric strength cap, balanced rotor for trouble free performance
• Brass cap contacts for superior conductivity
• Iron or Steel distributor gear compatible with flat tappet cams and OEM hydraulic roller camshafts
• May be used with an Accel, Mallory, Crane, Holley or MSD capacitive discharge ignition system
Application: Chevrolet V8 engines with HEI and vacuum advance, standard deck height complete ready to run, with performance coil (red & yellow leads), vacuum advance lock out kit and performance 4-pin module with rev limiter control.

A: Distributors are a component of your ignition that allows the proper distribution of spark to your engine as the motor spins around. In order to keep your engine running smoothly the distributor has to be in great shape. While replacement distributors are a great way to bring your vehicle back to stock running condition, high-performance aftermarket distributors are also available which can greatly improve both reliability and performance.
