Accel BILLETECH™ DISTRIBUTORS - Accel BilleTech™ late model replacement distributors are the perfect replacement for the factory distributor in your late model car or truck. All BilleTech™ distributors feature:
• 6061 T6 Billet aluminum housing
• Centerless ground steel shaft
• 10,000 RPM bearing upper with oil lite bushing lower
• Accel performance electronic pick up and module (where noted)
• High dielectric strength cap, balanced rotor for trouble free performance
• Brass cap contacts for superior conductivity
• Iron or Steel distributor gear compatible with flat tappet cams and OEM hydraulic roller camshafts
• May be used with an Accel, Mallory, Crane, Holley or MSD capacitive discharge ignition system
Application: Chevrolet V6 Vortec truck with corrected flat cap including 1995-2007 4.3L engines.

A: Distributors are a component of your ignition that allows the proper distribution of spark to your engine as the motor spins around. In order to keep your engine running smoothly the distributor has to be in great shape. Any wear in the shaft or electrical contacts can cause a host of running issues from misfires to complete failure. While replacement distributors are a great way to bring your vehicle back to stock running condition, high-performance aftermarket distributors are also available which can greatly improve both reliability and performance. From dual point distributors to electronic conversion units, aftermarket distributors will provide a more powerful and reliable spark to keep your engine running reliably with more grunt than before. In addition many of these distributors have tunable advance curves so that you can customize your distributor to your engine specifications.
