This upgrade will improve your Mustangs throttle response and horsepower. It's the perfect starting point for future modifications. There are two sizes to choose from, 65mm or 70mm. For 99% of the street/strip machines out there, the 65mm unit will add more than enough airflow.

Accufab's quality is second to none! This throttle body is CNC machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum and the exterior is polished to an eye-catching finish. The shafts are also CNC machined from stainless for durability and quality, with brass blades and the highest quality bushings, bearings and screws.
Application.
This throttle body is specifically designed as a direct bolt on for use on the 1999-2004 Ford Mustang 3.8L V6.
Technical Notes.
For combinations that have more modifications, such as aftermarket headers, etc... the 70mm should be chosen. The 70mm includes a spacer that is designed to align the 70mm hole in the throttle body to the slightly smaller opening in the OEM intake manifold. Because of the differences in the throttle body linkages, be sure and select the correct year of your Mustang.

A: Throttle bodies are easily removed by taking off the factory bolts holding it in place along with all the sensors. Re-connect your sensors to your new throttle body and then install the aftermarket throttle body for power gains.

A: According to wiki, "In a fuel injection engine, the throttle body is the part of the air intake system that controls the amount of air flowing into the engine, in response to driver input. The throttle body is usually located between the air filter box and the intake manifold, and usually attached to, or near, the mass airflow sensor." Aftermarket throttle bodies are designed to let more air through, and simply put more air equals more horsepower. If you want more power, buying a performance throttle body is a great way to go.
