Available Throttle Body Versions. The 1996-2004 4.6L 2V throttle body is available in two versions, Standard or MAX.
•The 70mm is available as a standard version only. Standard version for use with stock inlet hose and standard hose clamps.
•The 75mm is available as a Standard or MAX Version.
•MAX version requires a 3" clamp/ferrule, sold separately, to attach to your intake tube.
Available Plenum Version.
The plenum is available in one size only. The opening is 75mm and will accommodate either the 70mm or 75mm throttle body. The plenum is sold individually or in a kit with only the Standard 70mm or 75mm throttle body.

Accufab have performed flow testing on the majority of plenums on the market with the stock throttle body as well as an Accufab 70mm and 75mm throttle body.

Accufab's throttle body, plenum or throttle body with plenum kit is specifically designed as a direct bolt on for use on the 1996 - 2004 Ford Mustang 4.6L 2V. Additionally, this throttle body will work with other Ford 4.6L 2V vehicles. Please contact their Tech Support if you have a question about your non Mustang application.

A: Throttle bodies are easily removed by taking off the factory bolts holding it in place along with all the sensors. Re-connect your sensors to your new throttle body and then install the aftermarket throttle body for power gains.

A: According to wiki, "In a fuel injection engine, the throttle body is the part of the air intake system that controls the amount of air flowing into the engine, in response to driver input. The throttle body is usually located between the air filter box and the intake manifold, and usually attached to, or near, the mass airflow sensor." Aftermarket throttle bodies are designed to let more air through, and simply put more air equals more horsepower. If you want more power, buying a performance throttle body is a great way to go.
