ACT’s 4-pad rigid race discs are made with high quality, ceramic friction materials that produce 28 percent more friction and torque capacity over organic materials. The chrome-moly hub is heat-treated for strength and durability, and the lightweight, rigid design allows for quicker shifts and smooth, trouble-free service. With the 4-pad rigid race disc engagement is harsher, but shifting is faster. The 4-pad rigid race disc features top grade rivets to securely fasten the part together. The rivet design and rivet materials are carefully selected for maximum strength. The 4-pad rigid race disc is well-suited for the smaller disc sizes in smaller engines. All friction pads are measured, sorted and matched before assembly to ensure that each disc is uniform in thickness. In addition, all ACT race discs are certified as meeting SFI Specification 1.1 and are legal in all racing organizations that require SFI certification.

A: Clutch kits are used for upgrading the holding power of your factory transmission and clutch setup. If you decide to haul heavy loads or add extra horsepower to your car, you will need a high performance clutch upgrade to handle of the extra stress. You can only make a limited number of horsepower upgrades before you have to upgrade your clutch. A performance clutch gives your car the capacity to handle the increased horsepower and torque.

A: We recommend you get a clutch kit installed by professionals since dropping the transmission is usually necessary in order to install a clutch kit. Once the transmission is off of the block, you remove your stock setup and slip on the new kit using the clutch alignment tool. It's always imperative to make sure that surface of the flywheel is as clean as possible when mounting it back up to the clutch, to prevent any slipping during shifts.
