Banks is one of the premier names in turbocharged diesel modification, but there is a lot more to the company than just that. Banks engines have been used everyone from NAVY Seals to winners at the Bonneville salt-flats.
Banks' name precedes him and it is no coincidence that he teaches to graduate students of the General Motors Institute. Banks' engineering spirit has allowed him to innovate great things, such as the twin-turbo small block Chevy in the late 1970's.

Q: How do you install an air intake?
A: Air intakes are a true bolt-on application. The removal of your factory air box and resonator will be needed and the air intake installed in its place. Basic hand tools are needed, and the intake installs in minutes. If you don't regularly work on your truck yourself, installing an air intake might be a great way to get started and get familiarized because it's perhaps the most simple bolt-on performance upgrade you can do. Alternatively, you can take it to a shop to have it installed and expect the labor cost to be low since it would be an hour or less of labor most likely.
