Description:
A Sandwich adapter permits the installation of an engine oil cooler without relocating the oil filter. It installs between the oil filter and the filter land on the engine block, providing a pressurized source of oil for the engine oil cooler. Flex-a-lite's new proprietary design in light weight, matte finish with machined mating surfaces. Covers all major applications.
NOTE: A Sandwich adapter increases the distance the oil filter sticks out from the block. Check beforehand for adequate clearances. Shorter filters are made to fit most applications.
DImensions: 20mm x 1.5

Q: What is an oil cooler? Why buy an oil cooler?
A: An oil cooler is a heat exchanger for the engines motor oil. Most automatic transmissions are equipped with an oil cooler that's located inside the radiator. The engine's cooling system is usually adequate to keep oil temperatures within safe limits, but when you start modifying your motor with high performance parts, sometimes heat plays a factory.
Q: How do you install an oil cooler?
A: Oil coolers are installed using aluminum fittings and high quality hosing. Placement must be decided first and then installation of all the fittings and lines should be done.
