Q: What are export braces? Why buy them?
A: An export brace is a stiffening device that attaches at three separate places providing a triangular design for increased rigidity. The export brace runs from the upper strut mount to the firewall then to the other upper strut mount forming a link that will drastically reduce chassis flex and increase stiffness so that the suspension can better do its job. By maintaining proper suspension geometry you gain more precise steering feel and improved handling characteristics which can drop valuable seconds from your lap times and make your car much more pleasurable to drive on the street.
