Description:
Cobra Skin exhaust wrap features a special weave making it easier to wrap around bends in headers and exhaust pipes compared to conventional weave exhaust wraps. The “Cobra” weave also gives the wrap a carbon fiber look after it has been installed! Cobra Wrap maintains more heat in the exhaust system, this makes exhaust gases hotter and less dense, that allows the exhaust gas to exit the system faster! This increases exhaust scavenging, pulling intake with exhaust gases through the system faster, helping to lower intake temperatures: that equals more horsepower. Cobra Skin wrap also reduces radiant heat damage and can lower under hood temperatures by as much as 50%. Lower ambient underhood temperatures can lead to even lower intake temperatures, creating even more power. It also features our same proprietary coating as our black exhaust wrap holding its color longer than similar graphite coated wraps. Cobra Skin exhaust heat wrap can withstand a real world rating 1200F continuous and 2000F intermittent. Wrap Cobra Skin wrap around your header pipe, using overlap to hold itself in place (like a hockey stick or tennis racket grip) use our Thermal-Tie, hose clamps, or wire to secure ends in place. Our Cobra Skin Exhaust Wrap is asbestos free and is made from a base high quality fiberglass yarn. Cobra Skin wrap is noncombustible it is also water and fungus resistant. Always wear gloves, safety glasses and dust mask when handling this product, long sleeves are also recommended.
