Description:
Mugen’s unique design incorporates a 5 slot staggered pattern. In most slotted rotor applications the slots are machined into a cast blank – Mugen’s technology allows the slots to be cast into the blank providing a stronger more crack resistant piece. The 1mm deep slots also work to keep the friction surface on the brake pad clean of carbonized material that typically builds up under hard braking. These rotors also feature an anti-corrosion treatment to ensure that the entire rotor stays free of rust. These are direct replacement rotors.

Q: Are your Mugen products genuine or replicas?
A: All of the products listed under the Mugen brand on our site are genuine Mugen parts and/or accessories. In some cases, you may see products listed under other brands on our site that say "Mugen Style" or possibly something such as "MGN style" in the description. In those cases, those parts are replicas if the brand logo next to them on our website is not the Mugen logo, and the descriptions provided by those manufacturers are meant to describe, yet differentiate these products from authentic Mugen parts.
Q: What are brake rotors?
A: Rotors are the flat disk-like plates that provide friction for the brake pads to slow down your car. Some rotors have cooling fins between both faces are called "vented" rotors, or drilled which are called "cross-drilled" rotors. Replacing your factory rotors with aftermarket rotors will improve your braking power, which can be a high priority if you add performance parts to your car. You don't want to beef up the performance of your car without also improving your stopping power.
Q: How do you install rotors?
A: Rotors are installed by removing the entire brake assembly and caliper. Once removed, the factory rotor is taken off and the aftermarket rotor is installed. Everything is re-installed back together. Installing new brake pads is usually done at the same time rotors are being replaced.
Q: Do rotors come in sets of 4?
A: Rotors are sold individually, per side, unless otherwise noted on our website. Rotors should normally be replaced in sets of two; you should buy 2 rotors for the front, or 2 rotors for the rear, or all 4 at once.
