NEUSPEED® Engine Torque Arm Insert - Under hard acceleration, your entire engine and transmission actually rotates due to compliance in the factory bushings. While the soft factory bushings do a good job of damping engine vibration, they can also create a rubbery, vague response in the vehicle’s powertrain. Our torque arm insert works in concert with the Original Equipment (OE) rubber bushing. With the insert installed, you car’s throttle response will feel better and your shifts will feel more crisp and defined on both manual and automatic transmission cars.

Audi and VW have changed the torque arm mount mid-production cycle. To ensure you receive the correct item, please make sure that your Original Equipment (OE) mount looks like the mount pictured. If it does not, use part number 22.10.91. Urethane durometer: 65A
NOTE: Urethane is not as compliant as rubber. As a result, you may notice a slight increase in ride harshess and engine vibration after installation. Not recommeded for VW TDI vehicles.

Deflection in the motor mounts, as with the chassis and suspension, is a formidable enemy in power and weight transfer, robbing valuable horsepower and control. They eliminate the huge amounts of torque shock that result from wheel-hop and once installed they transfer more power to the road and improves acceleration, shifting, overall control and balance."
Q: Will an engine torque damper help prevent motor mounts from wearing out faster?
A: Engine torque dampers can definitely help prevent premature engine mount wear, although they are mostly used to help eliminate torque shock from wheel-hop and to help keep more power to the road.
