Procar, based out of Redondo Beach, California, has been making custom seats since 1982. They also make a huge variety of bolt-on seat brackets like the ones here. Almost all racing seats are universal and will not bolt into your vehicle without a vehicle-specific bracket. So if you're buying racing seats, you should also get the brackets if you want the seats to be a direct fit into your vehicle.
These brackets are vehicle-specific and will bolt directly to your floorboard, but in terms of them fitting to the actual seat itself, since they're made by Procar they will only be a perfect direct fit with Procar racing seats. They might work with other brands of seats, but it's not guaranateed.

A: No, because while a car-specific seat bracket matches your factory bracket bolt pattern, it won't necessecarily match on the 'top' of the bracket to the seat mount on the bottom of every racing seat. Generally, though, there are a number of ways to get around this problem. Also, often times seat manufacturers also manufacture a seat bracket application.

By using the custom bracket and applying it to the seat first before installing it, you can also be sure that the brackets will match the width of the seats. Then you have to mount it to the floor, but it will not match up with the bolt holes left by your factory seat brackets, so you'll have to drill new ones or possibly weld the universal brackets to your vehicle floor.
