Description:
ReadyLift® is proud to introduce a new SST Lift Kit system for the 2007-2012 1500-series Silverado/Sierra 6-lug 2WD Trucks. Increased requests from customers wanting a true 4.0" Lift Kit for their new body style Silverado trucks encouraged ReadyLift® research and development to engineer the only 4.0" completely bolt-on lift kit on the market today. ReadyLift® calls the 69-3285 4.0" SST Lift Kit SystemThe ReadyLift®'s "stage three" kit for the late model Silverado/Sierra pickups. ReadyLift® currently offers 1.5" and 2.25" front leveling systems for the 2007-2012 GM 1500 trucks. With the development of the 69-3425 4.0" SST Lift Kit ReadyLift® now has a lift solution for every Silverado owner.
The 69-3285 4.0" SST Lift Kit, just like the 69-3485 4WD version, is the result of over six months of extensive product development followed by rigorous on and off road testing. ReadyLift®'s goal is to provide a true 4.0" lift kit that is completely bolt-on, no drilling, cutting or welding required. This system significantly increases ground clearance while allowing for tire sizes up to 33" tires on aftermarket wheels. The most common tire size for this application is 33x11.50. In order to install a 33x12.50 (305/55/20) with aftermarket wheels, some minor trimming of the inner fenderwell may be required. 22x9.5 with 5.5" backspacing requires no fender modifications. 17x9 +0 offset on a 285/70R17 will fit with no rubbing. With a 295/70r17 minor trimming/modification required. Note: This kit is designed to be used with aftermarket wheels.
The ReadyLift® 4.0" SST Lift Kit will raise the 2007-2012 Silverado/Sierra 1500 2WD trucks 4.0" in front thanks to tough trail-proven 4.0" powdercoated steel strut extensions that bolt directly to the top of the factory strut. Unlike some kits which require you to cut off your strut studs or break the top hat seal which are irreversible modifications, ReadyLift®'s rugged strut extensions require No Modifications to be made to the strut in order to install the extension. This guarantees the strut will maintain the factory integrity as well as drastically reducing installation time.
At the heart of the system isThe ReadyLift®'s all-new 100% DOM tubular upper control arm. This new heavy-duty control arm features OEM-style ball joints pre-pressed into a strong crown that retains OEM geometry throughout the suspension cycle and doesn't require any modifications to the spindle. That means no drilling or machining to make the ball joints fit the spindle. The new control arms include 90-degree grease fittings to insure the life of the new polyurethane bushings. ReadyLift®'s new trail-tested control arms will provided additional clearance and correct geometry to allow for increased suspension travel.
To lift the rear of the Silverado/Sierra pickups this lift system includes 3.0" OEM-style cast iron rear lift blocks and u-bolts. ReadyLift®'s 3.0" rear lift blocks include the correct pinion angle correction and axle locating ears for perfect fit and performance. This block replaces the factory 1.25" rear block for an increase of 1.75" which will provide approximately .5" of rear to front rake. A slight rake is helpful for towing or hauling.
Completing this great new lift system are a set of steel rear shock extensions. No need to replace your great-riding factory rear shocks with inferior aftermarket shocks. These new shock extension brackets keep the rear shocks in the factory mounting position which means your truck will ride great! And that's important!
Speaking of riding great, it is ReadyLift®'s philosophy that every lift system ReadyLift® manufactures should maintain and/or improve the factory ride when installed and used as recommended. The ReadyLift® 69-3285 4.0" SST Lift Kit will make your truck ride and handle great while providing the raised height you have been wanting. Every one of ReadyLift®'s test vehicle owners have commented on how great the truck rides both on and off road with this system.
Like all ReadyLift® products, the 69-3285 SST Lift Kit System is protected byThe ReadyLift®'s Limited Lifetime Warranty.
NOTE: The ReadyLift® 4" SST Lift Kit is designed for use with Aftermarket Wheels with a backspacing of 5.25". If you intend to run the stock wheels with an aftermarket larger tire, a wheel spacer is required to prevent the tire from touching the control arm at full locked turn. ReadyLift® has developed a CNC-machined billet aluminum wheel spacer 10-3485 for use with factory wheels which have the stud pockets cast into the wheel next to the lug holes on the back side of the wheel.
To run the OE/Factory wheels AND tires, you will need to use the "ReadyLift® 1/2" Billet Wheel Spacers for use with OE/Factory wheels and tires".

Not everyone wants a monster truck that won't fit into the local mall's underground parking lot. Ready Lift has built its whole reputation on the fact that a lot of us would like it if our trucks were just a little bit taller and still rode like the factory intended. The company offers leveling kits that raise the front suspension of your truck or SUV to be even with the rear, and mild front and rear lift kits are available for select vehicles. In all cases, the factory ride is preserved due to the company's unique suspension and shock spacers, giving the vehicle owner a great looking truck that is still comfortable around town, all for a very reasonable price.

Q: What is a complete lift kit? Why buy one? What parts do complete lift kits normally come with? Do complete lift kits ever vary in terms of part composition?
A: Complete lift kits come with all the necessary components to lift your vehicle’s ride height. If you are looking to gain clearance under your vehicle for rough roads or get some extra wheel well space for larger wheels and tires, complete lift kits are the absolute best way to go because it is essentially one stop shopping. With a complete lift kit you can gain the clearance you need to drive on the trails and will give your rig an aggressive new look at the same time that is sure to turn heads as you drive down the road. So whether you are after the right look or need some additional function from your truck, we highly recommend complete lift kits.
Normally if you are dealing with a complete suspension lift kit this means you will get four new lift springs, mounting hardware, bushings and shock absorbers to match your new springs all in one kit. If it is a body lift kit this means all the appropriate spacers, bushings and hardware to complete the lift. If it is a shackle lift the kit will include shackles, bushings and hardware. However, there is often variation between brands on what is included in a complete lift kit. For example some kits may include extended brake lines or longer shackles in the package in addition to springs, shocks and hardware. On the other hand some companies require you to buy extended brake lines or even shock absorbers separately and only include the basic springs and hardware in the kits. Be sure to look carefully at what is included in each kit and shop accordingly. If one kit is noticeably cheaper than another there is probably a good reason; it may not include all of the same components.
Q: What is a suspension lift kit? Why buy one? How does a suspension lift differ from a leveling lift, and how does either of those differ from a body lift?
A: There are many ways that you can lift your vehicle. The most common forms include suspension lift kits, leveling lift kits and body lift kits. A suspension lift kit is a means of raising your truck, SUV or Jeep by utilizing suspension components such as taller springs and longer shock absorbers. Leveling kits utilize helper springs or spacers in order to boost the ride height on only one end of your rig so that it rides with a level stance and potentially can clear larger tires. Body lift kits gain clearance at the wheel wells to fit larger tires by using spacers between the body of the vehicle and the frame. With the body sitting higher away from the frame there is more room for big wheels and tires, however the actual ground clearance underneath the vehicle remains unchanged. Although the priciest of these options, a suspension lift kit is the most complete, and for most situations ideal, form of lift for your rig. By incorporating new springs and usually shocks, you not only gain lift, but you have the correct spring rates and shock valving to match the lift. Usually people add lift to their rides in order to clear larger tires for off road use. Larger tires are heavier and so require different suspension settings. With a complete suspension lift kit you will have the right equipment to work with your heavy duty tires so you can worry less about unsafe handling and focus instead on where your next adventure will be. Many of these kits also come with longer brake lines and custom steering linkage to compensate for the added lift. Another nice thing about suspension lift kits is that not only do you gain clearance for bigger rubber, but you also gain ground clearance under the vehicle so that you are less likely to hit rocks or get high-centered when driving off road. As with all lift kits, when you raise your rig, the center of gravity also moves higher so be sure to drive with caution as there is an increased risk of rollover.
