Description:
Big Brake Kits give your vehicle that Supercar look and feel, and exceed stock performance in two areas. First, larger rotors increase heat capacity. Second, stiffer calipers and stainless steel lines reduce system compliance. The key, however, is to increase heat capacity and reduce compliance without upsetting the stock front to rear brake torque ratio. If the brake upgrade you select adds too much front torque (as many do), you reduce your car's ability to utilize the tractive capacity of all of the tires to the maximum practical extent (even on ABS equipped cars) and you therefore create performance sacrifices. In addition, too many pistons or pistons that are too large will make the brake pedal much more difficult to modulate, which limits a driver's control of brake input on the race track. -- Wheel fittment guide: https://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/charts/98-137-2470-01.pdf -- StopTech Caliper FRONT: ST40 -- Rotor FRONT: 355x32 -- Box 1 Dimensions: 13x14x16, Box 1 Weight: 39 lbs, Box 2 Dimensions: 13x14x16, Box 2 Weight: 39 lbs -- Advantages of StopTech over other brake upgrades:
* Shorter Stopping Distances
* Better Brake Modulation
* Firmer Brake Pedal
* Less Brake Fade
* Balanced Brake Upgradesā¢ with optimum brake bias offer the shortest stopping distance with the best pedal feel
* Our patented AeroRotorsĀ® with the best airflow available result in better cooling, less fade and longer rotor and pad life
* The stiffest aftermarket calipers with patented bridge result in better clamping under hard braking and less pad taper
* Track testing of new applications ensures optimum performance

StopTech big brake kits are the real deal. StopTech doesn't just talk the talk and claim their big brake kits are the best; they walk the walk and have proven in countless performance tests that their big brake kits are the best. Here are some examples:
*Car and Driver magazine did a stopping test among several Dodge Vipers, each equipped with different big brake kits. The StopTech-equipped Viper had the shortest stopping distance of any according to Car and Driver.
*Sport Compact Car magazine did a stopping test among several Nissan 350z vehicles, and the one with the StopTech big brake kit had the shortest stopping distance.
*Speed magazine did a comparison of stopping times for a variety of Vortech supercharged Mustangs, and the StopTech-equipped one had the shortest stopping distance.
*European Car magazine did a stopping test for the Audi S4, and found that the StopTech-equipped S4 had the shortest stop in the 0-60mph and the 0-80mph challenges.
StopTech has to date received three patents in brake technology. They are based out of Southern California and are undeniably one of the premier performance brake manufacturers in the world. They partner with a number of successful motorsports teams to equip race vehicles with their world class big brake kits.

Q: What all do brake kits come with?
A: Aftermarket brake kits usually include rotors with larger diameters, stainless braided DOT approved front brake lines, a set of new performance brake pads, and front brake calipers and brackets.
Q: What does a brake kit do? Why buy a brake kit?
A: Aftermarket brake kits (often referred to as big brake kits) upgrade the factory front brakes by offering better stopping performance and better looks. Rear brake kits are also available but usually sold separate from the front. Aftermarket brake kits are a great way to improve your braking system and remove a good amount of un-sprung weight from your vehicle. If you have a high horsepower vehicle, you better be able to stop it in time! Oftentimes just getting new pads won't do the trick, but a big brake kit will.
Q: How do you install a brake kit?
A: Complete removal of your factory brake setup is required, and the new kit is installed in its place. Factory rubber brake lines will need to be removed as well and replaced with the stainless braided lines.
