Ford F150 Ecoboost Internal Wastegate Actuator (IWG) provides better turbo response and greater sensitivity when managing boost pressures. Designed as a direct bolt-on replacement for the factory part, the F150 Ecoboost IWG is easy to install and requires no special tools or fabrication. It can't get any easier!

A: Wategates are mounted onto the turbo manifold by using a flange. Basic bolting of it is needed for installation.

A: A wastegate regulates boost by allowing excess exhaust pressure to bleed off. Wastegates generally come in two different types. The first is an internal wastegate, which is controlled by a wastegate actuator and bleeds directly into the exhaust system. An external wastegate is controlled by a boost controller and can be directed to bleed either into the exhaust system or directly into the atmosphere. It's mounted wherever there's space for it. External wastegates can handle more boost, but can be too big to fit in the space next to the turbo.
