Richard's Rockin' '72 Monte

Check out this awesome ’72 Monte Carlo! Richard Dixon sent us this photo of this awesome ride, which his parents bought brand new! As Richard tells us, he had just completed his (much appreciated) service in Vietnam as a Crypto Maintenance Air Force trooper when his dad took him along to help pick out the new family ride. The only stipulation from Dad was, “No vinyl top!”

Well, that all changed once they saw this beauty, with its Gulf Green/Antique white color combo, bench seat, and 350 engine! Once the papers were signed and the car was home, though, Mom took over and drove it from then on out! As happens, both of Richard’s parents eventually passed, leaving the keys to the Monte Carlo in his hands. Richard has since taken on the project with his son, and they have been improving on and driving it every chance they get! In fact, they have made driving from their home in Georgia to the Somerset Cruise in Somerset, Kentucky, an annual tradition!
