WHY TO BUY?
Protection and performance are what Dodge D-Series air filters are all about. As you drive down the road your vehicle sucks in whatever air is available. Sometimes this air is polluted by dust and dirt. If these particles were to get into your engine they would cause serious problems. With Dodge D-Series air filters harmful particulates are kept out and only fresh clean air is allowed inside. Here at Andy's Auto Sport we have a wide selection of Dodge D-Series air filters for you to choose from. Ranging from high-performance units to OEM replacements, you are sure to find the perfect filter in our lineup no matter what your application.

DID YOU KNOW?
Early vehicles did not run air filters at all. At most they used screens and shields to keep the dirt at bay, however these crude methods weren't very effective, and as a result motors did not last very long. By the 1950s air filter technology began to improve with oil-bath style filters gaining popularity on OEM vehicles. Today most vehicles rely on paper style elements. While paper elements are pretty good at filtering they tend to restrict airflow. Many aftermarket Dodge D-Series air filters utilize a cloth or gauze element that allow for increased air flow, while still filtering out the dirty air particulates. If you want a boost in performance while still keeping your engine clean, high performance Dodge D-Series air filters are the way to go.
FAQs
Q: What does an air filter do? Why purchase one?
A: An air filter protects against debris from getting into your engine. The factory air filter on your car is very restrictive, and buying an performance filter will generally help improve throttle response and add a pleasing induction sound to the engine under acceleration. An air filter can also significantly clean up the under-hood appearance of your car and make it easier to see and access components of your engine bay.

Q: How do you install an air filter?
A: It depends on what type of car you have and what type of air filter you get. A drop-in air filter is installed by opening up your stock air box, pulling out your factory paper filter and replacing it with the new high flow unit. If you opt for the open-element air filter, then your whole air box should be removed and replaced with the new filter. If the filter is universal (not vehicle-specific), slight modifications using reducers and couplers may be needed depending on the size of the filter and intake hosing.
