Grilles are typically available in at least one of two styles: as an overlay or as a replacement for your original grille or grille insert. Overlay Scion tC grilles bolt on over your existing grille insert, allowing you to revert back to your vehicle's factory look by simply unbolting the aftermarket Scion tC grille. Grille replacements, on the other hand, require you (or your designated installer) to remove the center "eggcrate" or center from your grille shell, or remove the shell altogether, before installing your new Scion tC grille.
