GlowShift's Tinted 7 Color Diesel Gauge Set is a complete set of gauges that is essential for any diesel vehicle towing heavy loads or traveling long distances. GlowShift's diesel gauge set includes a 60PSI boost gauge, 1500 degree pyrometer gauge, as well as a transmission temperature gauge that reads from 0 to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. This diesel gauge kit boasts some incredible features that includes stepper motor technology, an illuminated red needle, a low profile magnified tinted lens, as well as 7 color LED through dial lighting. The included stepper motor gives you the perfect combination of extremely accurate gauge readings with incredibly smooth needle movement. GlowShift's 7 Color through dial lighting lets you select from 7 different solid colors, along with 2 color cycle modes, allowing you to match your factory dash lights or add a custom look to the interior of your vehicle.
GlowShift's 60 PSI Boost Gauge includes 10 feet of boost hose that is rated for 200PSI and features brass fittings which easily screw into the back of the gauge, as well as the included 1/8th NPT barbed fitting that installs directly to your intake manifold. The included pyrometer gauge reads from 0 to 1500 degrees Fahrenheit with the included K type thermocouple probe that features 6 feet of steel braided cable and 1/8th NPT threads, allowing you to install the probe directly into your exhaust manifold, and our transmission temperature gauge reads from 0 to 300 degrees Fahrenheit with the included 1/8th NPT transmission temperature sensor that can be installed into either your transmission test port or it can replace your stock sensor. A: A tachometer is a great instrument to have in your car. Monitoring your engines RPM will help you shift at the appropriate time to gain the best performance or even better gas mileage. Most aftermarket tachometers only have 3 or 4 wires that need to be connected for operation. A main power wire that gets connected to a 12 volt ignition source, a ground wire, a tach signal wire that connects to the coil or the designated signal wire in your cars wiring diagram, and sometimes a wire to run the light inside the tach for night time use, which can be connected to the same power source as your other dash lights. If your car did not come with a tach, but it was an option for your specific model then there is a good chance the wiring is already in place to run the tachometer. It is best to purchase a factory service manual and carefully study the wiring schematics to determine if the wiring is there or not. The only tools you will need for this wiring job are a pair of wire cutters, a pair of wire strippers, a good pair of wire crimpers, some crimp-on style electrical connectors and a little electrical tape. While this is a pretty simple job, if you are not comfortable using these tools it is best to seek professional help.
