The NOVI SL (Self-Lubricating) Supercharger features an internal oil reservoir for self-contained lubrication - no oil lines necessary.
This new design features a uniquely configured transmission housing that allows for effective gear lubrication and bearing temperature control. You'll also experience a shorter installation time, and the ability to service the supercharger oil without removal.
NOVI SL Features
•Technologically advanced centrifugal unit that does not require a connection between the engine oil pan and the compressor or gear case... no oil line.
•Uniquely configured transmission housing that allows for effective gear lubrication and bearing temperature control.
•Integrated gear case baffling for proper oil control.
•Simple oil slinger design does not require a separate shaft or bearing set for effective fluid delivery to gears and bearings.
•Includes remote fluid drain hose (attached to supercharger) that allows for simple oil changes without removing the supercharger from the vehicle.
•Integrated dipstick for easy fluid checks.
•Superchargers are factory pre-filled with our special synthetic fluid. Complete systems include additional lubricant for three future fluid changes.

A: A supercharger is a form of forced induction. Superchargers offer perhaps the most dramatic increase in horsepower to your car of any aftermarket products. By compressing the air, it lets the engine stuff more air into a cylinder. More air means that more fuel can be stuffed in, too, so you get more power from each explosion in each cylinder. A supercharger's power supply comes from a belt that connects directly to the engine. It gets its power the same way that your water pump or alternator does.
