It can sometimes be done with some fabricating, but we suggest saving the time and headache by purchasing a set of vehicle-specific Eagle Talon seat brackets to go along with your custom seats and sliders for a quick install. Once you choose your new aftermarket Eagle Talon seats, you'll still need to decide on a set of Eagle Talon seat brackets. Although most seats come with sliders, it's the seat brackets that actually bolt up to your floor and hold your seats in place. Depending on the application and the seat design, there are different seat brackets available to customize the height and positioning of your aftermarket seats. In some cases, we have seen people adapt power motors and sliders from factory seats to use with seat brackets, so it's possible to have aftermarket Eagle Talon seats with infinite adjustment.

Q: What are seat brackets? Why buy seat brackets?
A: Seat brackets are used to mount aftermarket racing seats to the floor of your vehicle. When purchasing aftermarket seats, you will need a bracket to mount to the seat to your car.

Q: How do you install seat brackets?
A: It depends if the seat bracket is car-specific or universal (check the "fits on" section of the seat listing on our website to see if the bracket is vehicle-specific or universal). Seat brackets are car specific and mount to your factory seat bracket holes and interface with the bottom of the racing seat. The way the universal brackets work is they come with a pair of brackets that have a multiple 'holes' to be able to interface with the bottom of almost any racing seat. By using the custom bracket and applying it to the seat first before installing it, you can also be sure that the brackets will match the width of the seats. Then you have to mount it to the floor, but it will not match up with the bolt holes left by your factory seat brackets, so you'll have to drill new ones or possibly weld the universal brackets to your vehicle floor.

Q: Will car-specific seat brackets work on any seat I want to put in my car?
A: No, because while a car-specific seat bracket matches your factory bracket bolt pattern, it won't necessecarily match on the 'top' of the bracket to the seat mount on the bottom of every racing seat. Generally, though, there are a number of ways to get around this problem. Also, often times seat manufacturers also manufacture a seat bracket application.
