Turbocharged vehicles inherently generate a tremendous amount of heat in the engine bay. If you drive your vehicle hard, chances are your turbo charger will reach glowing red temperatures. While improved intercoolers and radiators help to some degree, it is extremely important that your vehicle is allowed to cool down properly before shutting off the motor. You can do this manually by waiting in your car for several minutes with the motor running, but this is extremely inconvenient.
